Last Stop Coney Island: The Life and Photography of Harold Feinstein is a featured selection with DOC NYC’s promotional materials.

This project has been a labor of love for independent filmmaker Andy Dunn who began shooting in July  2014,  less than a year before Harold died.  The long road to this point has required  grit, courage and incredible determination. I can’t thank Andy enough for his vision and fortitude in continuing to persevere to the end!  And now  there’s a whole new beginning as the film premier will be followed by other festivals and distribution through other media platforms. We will keep you posted as other viewing opportunities arise!

Here is a  photo collage of only a few of the people who appear in the film! Many other friends, family, former students, photographers and army buddies appear in the film as well and we’re grateful to them all!

A few people who appear in the film clockwise from upper left: Sarah Kennel, Curator of Photography, Peabody Essex Museum; Philippe Garner, Emeritus Director of Photography at Christie’s Auction House; A.D. Coleman, photo critic and historian; Jason Landry, former gallery owner and instigator of Kickstarter Project for Harold’s book Harold Feinstein: A Retrospective (Nazraeli, 2012); Howard Greenberg, Howard Greenberg Gallery, New York; Sam Stephenson, writer and historian, author of The Jazz Loft Project; Thierry Bigaignon, owner Galerie Thierry Bigaignon.

In addition to those shown above, special personal thanks to David Caras,  Mariette Pathy Allen, Peter Angelo Simon, Ronnie Ginnever,  Gjon Feinstein, Bob Gil,  Sean Corcoran, Clarke Macomber,  Dorrie Woodson,  Susan Falk,  Max Schenk and Mussawir Spiegel all of whom gave their time to be interviewed for the film.
